Colloid cyst (gold arrow) in the center of the brain causing back-up of CSF (brain fluid)

Colloid cysts are rare benign cysts that may cause obstruction of the flow of fluid (CSF) from one's brain. This results in headaches, vision problems and in some cases, sudden death. In settings where it is clear that a colloid cyst is problematic, surgery will usually be recommended to remove the cyst.
